Stevie Ray Vaughan - Lightnin' Blues 1983-1987* (Bass)
Published in Paperback by Hal Leonard (01 October, 1991)
Average review score:

Excellent Bass Tab for SRVI am a bass player in a pick up band and we cover a bunch of SRV songs. This book was very helpful for me because it takes a long time to figure out the tab by myself and I learn a lot from the SRV bass lines because they are very melodic and don't really repeat themselves too often. If you are in a band that plays SRV this is highly recommended. Or if you are interested in rock bass lines, following SRV songs will be a help unless you are already a pro. The tab seems very faithful to the music I play along and rarely notice a difference (I certainly couldn't do it nearly as well).

The Story of the Fender Stratocaster
Published in Hardcover by Backbeat Books (April, 1995)
Average review score:

The Strat as a Page Turner"The Story of the Fender Stratocaster", by Ray Minhinnett and Bob Young is an excellent read for anyone interested in this American musical icon. The entire range of the Strat's story is found in these pages: a synopsis of the instrument's and Fender's history, an analysis of the causes of the Strat's success, the changes made in the instrument as the years passed and the thoughts and storys about the Strat from interviews with over two dozen well known guitarists from Bryan Adams to Dweezil Zappa.
The book covers the technological evolution of the Strat as regards design and engineering witout going into the deep detail found in A.R. Duchossoir's "The Fender Stratocaster". Minhinnett and Young's work delves more deeply with the influence the Strat had on American culture and the resulting changes that culture inspired in the Strat. The book also includes a chronology, glossary, list of key people and an index all of which I found quite helpful.
Where most books I've read on the subject perform the function of reference books, I found "The Story of the Fender Stratocaster" to be a good, enjoyable read.

The Story of the Fender Stratocaster: A Celebration of the World's Greatest Guitar
Published in Paperback by Backbeat Books (10 October, 2001)
Average review score:

Great book for Fender Strat AficionadosThis book is great at defining the many styles of the Fender Stratacaster guitar since it's beginning in 1954. The pictures are awesome. Almost every image evokes an ooh..or an aahhh. I'm like a kid in a candy store with this book! The evolution of the Strat guitar is described in detail in addition to the history of it's developement. It's the "who's who" book of Fender guitars. From Buddy Guy to Mark Knopfler it's inspiring to see what musician played which type of Strat and how it corresponded to that particular period of time in music. Not too technical and overall a good reference book.

Surface Analysis of Polymers by XPS and Static SIMS
Published in Hardcover by Cambridge University Press (June, 1998)
Average review score:

Excellent, but we want more! This book is an excellent resource for the surface analyst that works with organic and polymeric materials. The treatment of fundamentals and hardware is adequate and appropriate. There are many examples given for polymeric and additive systems, but one would wish for similar treatment for more systems.

I loved itsimply put, i think this is probably the best angie ray book i read. it was one of the first but it had a really good timing in it...it was fun, exciting and more than just the usual mushy romance novel. It had adventure and the whole spy thing really made it interesting. i'm surprised that no one had reviewed the book until me, and that the book is now out of print...i hope they bring it back because it really is a fun book. angie ray is my favorite romance author.

Swifts & Spiny Lizards
Published in Paperback by TFH Publications (March, 1998)
Average review score:

excellent overviewWhile there are several books available for the more popular lizards--i.e. iguanas, bearded dragons, geckoes, et al. information on spiny lizards is harder to come by. As a fence lizard keeper I found this book invaluable in setting up the proper environment and getting up to speed on the feeding and care of my lizard. Clearly written with great photos of the different species.
